WelcomeThe WRIA 1 Watershed Management Project brings together citizens, local governments, tribes, and state and federal agencies to develop plans for allocating water, protecting water quality, and restoring fish habitat. Located in northwest Washington, Water Resource Inventory Area No. 1 (WRIA 1) encompasses the surface and ground water in the Nooksack River basin and certain adjacent watersheds. If you've never been to this web site before, a good place to start is the About the Project page, where you can learn about who's involved with the project. Read over the project's Scope of Work, which guides the project's technical work. Interested in finding out what's going on right now? Check the What's New page and the Technical Work page for the latest information. There are also pages with current information on meetings, the overall project calendar and how to get involved. The approved Watershed Plan is now available for download.
